EBHS Cross Country Regional Results- State Nov 4th in Round Rock

The East Bernard CC teams competed in Huntsville at the Regional CC meet this past Monday. In the boys race, East Bernard finished 5th overall, 7 points shy of qualifying for the State Meet. Pollack Central finished 1st with 45 points, Keene 2nd with 106 points, McGregor 3rd with 107 points, Little River Academy 4th with 134 points, and East Bernard 5th with 141 points. There were 23 teams competing in the race. Individually, Bo Badger finished 16th overall in 18:16, Reagan Whitley 22nd in 18:25, Andrew Dirba 27th in 18:35, Isaac Ortiz 48th in 19:18, Jacob Wondrash 59th in 19:34, Kolby Townsend 61st in 19:37, and Barrett Whitley 64th in 19:50 with 179 boys competing in the race. Bo Badger qualified individually to compete in the State Meet with his finish. In the Girls race, East Bernard finished in 1st with 48 points to claim the Regional Championship, followed by Franklin in 2nd with 110 points, McGregor 3rd with 118 points, and Brazos 4th with 149 points to all qualify to compete in the State Meet. Individually, East Bernard had 4 girls earn All Region honors.
Jessica Rabius was 4th in 12:34, Jillian Hlavinka 6th in 12:39, Caitlyn Furchec 10th in 12:54, and Kensi Muzik 13th in 13:05. Brooke Petrenella finished 16th in 13:19, Aracely Acevedo 41st in 14:00, and Madison Crist 61st in 14:27. There were 171 girls competing in their division. Congratulations to all the runners! They all competed hard and represented East Bernard well. The Girls Team and Bo will be competing in Round Rock on Nov. 4 at Old Settler's Park in the State Meet.
