EBHS Cross Country Bellaire CC Invitational Results



The East Bernard CC Teams competed in the STE and Bellaire CC Invitational this past Saturday at Willow Waterhole. The Varsity Girls competed in the first race. The girls finished as the team champion with 6 girls earning medalist honors placing in the top 15. East Bernard finished with 29 points, followed by Woodlands Christian with 53, Bellaire with 82, Houston Carnegie Vanguard with 98, Second Baptist with 211, and Sealy with 222 as the top 5 teams. There were 21 teams racing with 146 runners competing in the race. Individually, Jessica Rabius claimed the overall title finishing in 11:55, followed by Kensi Muzik in 3rd with 12:23, Jillian Hlavinka in 5th with 12:43, Aracely in 9th with 13:13, Brooke Petrenella in 12th with 13:16, and Madison Crist in 13th with 13:17 to all earn medalist honors. Gracelyn Martinez finished 16th with 13:27, Caitlyn Fuechec 17th in 13:40, Logan Goudeau 26th in 14:09, and Julia Janczac 36th in 14:37. In the Varsity Boys race, East Bernard finished 5th overall out of 18 teams with 137 points. John Paul ll was the team champion with 59 points, Westbury 2nd with 82, Bellaire 3rd with 91, and Woodlands Christian 4th with 112. Individually, Bo Badger crossed the finish line first for EB in 16th place with a time of 18:10, followed by Isaac Ortiz in 20th in 18:27, Reagan Whitley 29th in 18:53, Andre Dirba 32nd in 19:01, Jacob Wondrash 42nd in 19:27, Ethan Rejsek 53rd in 19:45, Kolby Townsend 64th in 20:09, David Martinez 74th in 20:37, and Jackson Barta 83rd in 20:50. There were 168 runners competing in this division.In the JV Girls race, East Bernard finished as the team champion with 27 points followed by Bellaire with 58, Houston CarnegieVanguard with 66, Westbury with 143, and Houston Yes Prep with 176. There were 12 teams competing in their division with 106 runners. Individually, East Bernard had 4 medalists with Libby Hancock finishing 4th, Kimbal Swiger 5th, Kara Riley 10th, and Paige Nixon 15th. Alyssa Schulte finished 16th, Cana Mathys 19th, Caroline Kunz 22nd, and Kendal Douthit 39th. In the JV Boys race, Cade Gravonovic finished 31st overall, followed by Ricky Rico in 40th, and Jake Nethery 113th with 122 runners competing in this division. In the JH Girls Race, East Bernard earned the title with 46 points in a close race with Annunciation Orthodox who finished with 54 points. They were followed by TH Rogers with 101, St. John's with 115, and Pin Oak with 130 as the top 5 teams out of 18 teams. Individually, East Bernard had 4 girls place in the top 10 to earn medalist honors. Madison Muzik finished 2nd overall in 12:54, followed by Lexi Warncke in 5th in 13:43, Samatha Rabius 7th in 13:58, and Emma Alexander 9th in 14:09 to all race their personal bests. Maria Avila finished in 23rd with a time of 14:59, Ella Grymes 26th in 15:16, Isabel Mathys 30th in 15:20, Sophie Morrow 40th in 15:38, and Lauren ware 41st in 15:41. There were 133 runners competing in this division. In the JH Boys race, East Bernard had 3 boys competing. Mason Crist finished 11th overall with a time of 12:22 to earn medalist honors. Ryan Kelly finished 121st overall with a time of 16:58, and Nathan Kramr finished 123rd with a time of 17:05. Congratulations to all the runners! The High School teams will be competing in the Klein High Bearkat Tune-Up next Saturday in their final meet before District which will be in Brazos on Wednesday October 11.
