EBJHS 5th Grade Trip and Community Service

The 5th grade class visited the Wharton County Historical Museum where they were guided on a tour including Wharton County's history, the Johnson Trophy Room, and the 20th Century Technology Exhibit. After a picnic, we had the privilege of volunteering at Just Do It Now, housed at Dawson Community Resource Center. Just Do It Now provides a variety of services to the Wharton community.One facet of their service is an after school program where 95 WISD students are provided homework assistance, an evening meal, and organized recreational activities Monday through Friday. Our EBJHS students cleaned the gym to prepare for a fund raising event that will be hosted this weekend and organized donated new shoes and clothing to be given away to those served in that community.​
