Instrument Drive for Incoming 6th Grade Band Students
Instrument Drive for Incoming 6th Grade Band Students will be going till 6:30 PM in the band hall.
EBHS Band State Solo and Ensemble Contest Results
Congratulations to the state solo and ensemble band members. We brought home a record amount of medals for me. 15 total medals for the following groups.
Tony Martinez received a 1st division on his solo
Lissa Blackert received a 1st division on her solo
The percussion ensemble received a 1st division on their ensemble.

The Brass Trio consisting of Jacob Vacek, Katelynn Leonards, and Michael Sims received a 3rd division.
Congratulations to all the kids who advanced and competed. I have never taken that many students to the state level or received that many medals in return.
EBHS State Academic UIL Results
Congratulations to the students who completed at the State Academic Meet in Austin on Tuesday. Although we didn't come home with hardware, they worked extremely hard on their events and stand among the elite in their competition. Those competing are as follows:

We will be playing White Oak in the Regional Finals. The game will be played at Mumford High School on Saturday night with an approximate game time of 7:30. Our game start time will be determined based on how the games before us play out.

Incoming 10th graders - Lord of the Flies by William Golding and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
Incoming 11th graders - Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and 1984 by George Orwell
Any students that cannot provide a personal copy of each required piece should contact their current English teacher or Mrs. Steplock to obtain a copy. 11th grade: As previously announced, EBHS does not have copies of 1984 by George Orwell, and students must provide this piece.
During the summer break, NEW STUDENTS to EBHS should contact the main office about obtaining the required reading if new students cannot provide a personal copy.

EBJHS District Tennis Results
The East Bernard 7th and 8th Tennis teams competed at Wharton on Thursday, May 7, 2015 against Brazos and Van Vleck. Unfortunately, the meet was rained out and we completed the meet on Monday, May 11th in East Bernard against Brazos. Van Vleck was unable to attend.
We are very proud of our Brahmas and Brahmarettes on their hard work and accomplishments in this very short tennis season. Congratulations to all the 7th and 8th tennis players!

EBHS State Tennis Update
The Boys Doubles team fell short this morning in their semi final match against Reagan County and finished their state tournament debut. Very proud of how the two boys played all year and how they competed at State.
Girls Doubles got on the court for their semi final game at 11 and were pulled off right after the start due to weather. We have waited all day to get back on the court but unfortunately weather delays have kept us from doing so. UIL decided at 7pm to end efforts for tonight and continue tomorrow morning at 830.
If weather persists tomorrow we will again go to a plan B as we have all week.
Thank you for the continued support! Please congratulate Connor Dusek and Brent Babin on a job well done this year in Tennis! Will update today as our girls continue their state run!

The boys did a great job finishing 4th as a team in a tough Regional meet. Ishmael Blackwood will advance to state in the 110 Hurdles. Will Anderson will advance to state in the 400. Korren Robinson will advance as the wild card (best 3rd place finish in all regions) in the the 200. Congrats to all these boys on their efforts this past weekend.
