EBHS Varsity Baseball Vs Boling Results

The Brahmas got it's second district win in two days last night when they defeated the Boling Bulldogs 5-4.
The Brahmas were out of the gate scoring two runs in the first inning with a base clearing triple by Travis Hlavinka scoring Allen Anderson who got on with a single. Jake Zurek drove in Hlavinka with a hit of his own.
The top of the second inning starting with two quick outs for the Brahmas. The third batter of the inning was JJ Talas who was hit by the pitch and then Allen Anderson walked to bring up Travis Hlavinka who again drove the ball to the wall with a base clearing double but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple. The Brahmas took a 4-0 lead.
The Bulldogs scored a run in the top of the 3rd inning. In the bottom of the 3rd the Brahmas answered back with a run of their own with hits by Edward Garza, Matthew Tovar, and Tyler Vasut. The Brahmas battled and stopped a late rally by the Bulldogs and earned the hard fought victory against their district and county rivals.
Standouts for East Bernard were Edward Garza who pitched a complete game and scored a run. Anderson reaching base twice and scoring two runs. JJ Talas reaching base twice and scoring a run. Travis Hlavinka getting two extra base hits and driving 3 of the 5 Brahma runs.
