Project Santa

Hello EBISD family and friends,
I am excited to share that our community has assisted 127 children for Christmas. We truly have an extraordinary community and are blessed beyond words.
I would like to extend a special thanks to The Lions Club for furnishing dinners needed for many families, EBISD school and staff for adopting children to furnish gifts to, The Catholic Church for taking charge of many families with gifts and other needed supplies, The Methodist Church for adopting a family and providing over the top supplies to begin a new life and fresh start. Also, our 2nd grade students gathered a huge amount of toiletries for a Christmas drive that were distributed to each family.Other organizations that contributed were: several AG groups, EBISD Drama Club, Salvation Army, and Angel's Care Home Health to name a few. The largest thanks goes out to the families of our community that took part and assisted delivering gifts to needy families.

God Bless and have a Happy Holiday and Merry Christmas!

FFA STATE RESULTS

Congratulations to the EB FFA Radio Broadcasting team for placing 4th at the State Leadership Event Contest this past weekend.  Team members Hannah Daigle, Kortlan Bell and Alex Delgado-Rico traveled to Sam Houston State University on Friday to compete in the contest.

There are 10 FFA Areas in the state and the top two teams from each area qualify for the State contest.  On Friday, 2 semi final heats of 10 teams each were conducted.  The top 5 teams from each heat went on to Saturday to compete in a Finals round.  The EB FFA radio team was in the top 5 teams of their heat and advanced to the Finals.  After Saturday's Finals round, the team placed 4th.

Just to put a little perspective on the magnitude of this feat...there are over 1,100 FFA chapters in the state of Texas that can enter the LDE contests.  There were 675 entries in the Radio Broadcasting event.  Which means we were 4th out of 675 teams.
Congratulations to the EB FFA Radio Team.  We are proud of you.
