The JV Girls Basketball Team won one
game and lost one game in their Tournament yesterday. They played Hallettsville
in a very close game losing 34-36 in overtime. The girls were down 5-18 in the
1st quarter and fought back to go into overtime. Leading the way for
the Brahmarettes was Kristen Morse with 10 pts. and an outstanding defensive
game. Also scoring were: Brooke Boettcher and Cheyenne Novicke with 6 pts.
each, Hallye Mica and Malynn Plunkett with 4 pts. each, and Bailey Hlavinka and
Rebecca Rabius with a bucket each. Rebecca Rabius, Angie Cruz and Malynn
Plunkett were leading rebounders for the team.
In the second game the Brahmarettes
took a 25-6 halftime lead over Palacios and held them to 3 pts. the second
half. Final score was 46-9. Brooke Boettcher led all scorers with 17 pts.
Kristen Morse scored 9 pts., Angie Cruz-7 pts., Rebecca Rabius, Hallye Mica,
and Bailey Hlavinka all had 4 pts. each.
The girls will take on Industrial at
8:30 Saturday morning in their last game of the Tournament.
