Congratulations go out the East Bernard Brahmas in becoming the 2013 Area Champions.
The Brahmas defeated the Blanco Panthers Saturday night by a score 2-0.
Josh Vincek got the win for the good guys by pitching a complete game and only allowing one hit.
Scoring came in the 4th inning when Jacob and Josh Vincek had back to back base hits. Nathan Hlavinka followed with a long drive into the right center gap scoring Jacob for the first run. Tyler Sulak, who was courtesy running for Josh was thrown out at the plate in very close play. The second run scored when Garrett Polak sacrificed Nathan from second to third and a wild throw from the Blanco 2nd baseman to 1st base allowed for Hlavinka to cross the plate.
Come support the Brahmas as they take on Hallettsville in the Regional Quarterfinals of the Texas State Playoffs. The games will be as follows:
