Brahma Band

This past Saturday the EBISD Saxophone Quartet competed in the Houston Underground Saxophone Quartet Competition. It was purely voluntary and the students had to organize and submit the forms to compete in the competition themselves.  This competition is the largest of its kind in the United States and had 22 ensembles from all over the area competing in it. Many of the ensembles also compete at the national and international level.  The Judges were all Professors of Saxophone from distinguished colleges of music around the country.
Our Quartet scored well from the judges and represent EBISD with distinction.  They also got some great performance experience and critiques to help them get ready for State Solo and Ensemble next week.

The members of the EBISD Saxophone Quartet are:
Emily Barbossa

Scarlett McCain
Morgan Swaboda
Lily Thurman
We also have two other ensembles competing at State Solo and Ensemble this weekend as well as two soloists
