Brahma Varsity Volleyball

Brahmarette Varsity Volleyball competed well yesterday at the George Ranch Tournament winning 8 straight games against Spring, Needville, Terry, and Hasting placing 1^st in their pool. They will play at against Mayde Creek at 10:15 on Saturday.  All of the girls played outstanding.  With each match their fixing errors that are helping them to play more as a team.

Combined stats for the day were

Kill Leaders Ashley Dusek 25, Terralyn Williams 20, Sloan Carr and Kori Slanina 9 each.

Assist Leaders Carr 32, Kelsey Goodwin 27

Aces Williams 7, Goodwin 4 and Dusek, Carr, Angelica Lopez, and Amanda Boettcher 3 each

Defensively Dig Leaders were Dusek 34, Boettcher 26, Williams 14, Carr and Goodwin 12 each

And  Lopez had 4 solo blocks while Dusek had 4

Tonight all of the Brahmarette volleyball teams will travel to Bellville to play the Brahmanettes starting at 4:30.

Drama Club Dance

Next Saturday, Sept. 8 the Drama Club will be hosting a "Back to School" Dance in the Old Gym, from 7:00 to 11:00 pm for previous members and new membership

The JV volleyball girls played Boling last night in our 2nd District game of the season.  The girls played well and are continuing their success into District with another win! Scores: 25-23 25-16.

PSAT TEST: October 17,2 012

If you would like your child to take the PSAT test, the sign up deadline is September 15.  Cost is $14.00.  It is all self-pay this year, and no full classes are automatically signed up. It is on a "want-to" basis, and only the students who have paid will take it this year.

Community Information: Youth Sports Registration

East Bernard Youth Sports Registration.  Soccer:  All Children Pre-K through Grade 2.  Flag Football and Volleyball:  3rd - 6th grade.  Registration for these events will be August 30, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, September 1, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Holy Cross Catholic Church  For information contact Carolyn McGuire at 335-4718.

Cross Country Results

The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams competed in their first Cross Country Meet at Cy-Ridge this past Saturday.  The Boys placed first in the 1A-3A and Private School Division with 35 points followed by Royal with 46 points and Awty with 76 points as the top 3 schools.  Individually, Wyatt Kieler placed first with a time of 10:32 on the 2.1 mile course;  Daniel Garza placed 3rd, Brian Perez 8th, Brian Barta 15th, and Brady Babin 16th to all earn medalist honors.  Caleb Moseley placed 24th and Jacob Muniz 26th.

The Varsity Girls earned  2nd place in their division with 61 points behind  Awty who had 31 points.  Royal was the 3rd place team with 90 points.  Individually, Katelyn Walters place 4th, Corinna Navarro 11th, Carson Swoboda 13th, Lissa Blackert 14th, Cassidy Mica 19th, and Melody Jenkins 20th to all earn medalist honors.  Congratulations to both teams on their start to the 2012 season!

HS SCHEDULE PICK UP

2012-2013 High School Students should pick up their schedules on Friday, August 17, 2012 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The schedules will be in the Counselor's Office.  If you cannot pick them up on this date, please pick them up the first day of school.

PTO Fundraiser

EBISD PTO will team up with Polak Petals and Savon Druges on Monday, September 17th for "Girls Night Out".  This event helps our PTO raise money.

MEET YOUR KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

Thursday, August 23, 2012  5:30 -7:00 p.m.  All kindergarten students can meet their new teacher at the East Bernard Elementary School.  Each student is asked to bring their School Supplies with them at that time.
