Softball vs. Van Vleck

The East Bernard softball team came up with a BIG win against a good Van Vleck team.  Still trying to find a starting line-up due to the weather slowing the start of our season, the kids are hanging in there and working hard to earn their spots. The kids came up with the win after going into the eighth inning after a bumpy few innings of play.  Erica Reyes hit a hard shot to score two runs to win the game.  It was a HUGE come back!

Brahmarettes - Playing For A Cure

Last year the East Bernard Brahmarette's started a new tradition in an attempt to play for something larger than a win on the court. They played their season for a win in the battle against breast cancer. This year as the tradition continues, they are playing for a win in fighting brain cancer. Two precious people in the Brahmarette family lost their battle with brain cancer.Brandi Ward, Brahmarette Alumni/EBISD teacher and Mike Ellisor, father in law to Coach Schmidt and grandpa to Aliska Schmidt, both fought hard against this beast of a disease.
We invite you to join us Friday, February 3rd beginning at 5pm as we unite with the Hallettsville Brahmas/Lady Brahmas in raising funds that will be donated to the Dr Marnie Rose Foundation.

Basketball Tonight

Tonight the Brahmarette and Brahma basektball teams will be playing Hallettsville here.  There will also be a fundraiser going on at the games in new gym.  We will be trying to raise money for brain cancer research supporting the Marnie Rose foundation out of Houston.  There will be a raffle with over 20 prizes being given away during all the games.  So please come out and not only support our basketball teams but also help a very worthy cause.  Thanks
