7th B: Finished their season on a win last night vs. Rice

7th A: Tough night vs. Rice (their first loss all year including Volleyball season)

          Score: 23-32 (Report is attached)

The 7th A and 8th A have two more district games vs. Hallettsville 1/26 and Weimar 1/30.

Student Council Blood Drive

Just a reminder that the EBHS Student Council Blood Drive is Wednesday, Jan. 18th in the Old Gym from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Rodeo Art East Bernard

Howdy y’all! Rodeo Houston is here and so is Rodeo Art East Bernard!
The School Art Program, which began in 1964, has more than 300,000 entries each year. These exhibitors are not washing and brushing animals — they are diligently brushing canvas with acrylics or pastels, and shaping sculptures, among other things. Participants range from pre-K through 12th grade. These artists must submit an original project based on Western culture, history or heritage.

7A EB Tourn Results

The EBJHS 7th "A" Boys team defeated Rice Consolidated and Danbury to take home the 1st place trophy in the EB Junior High Tournament.
In the first game EBJHS defeated Rice 37-23. Scoring for the Brahmas were: JJ Talas-19 points / Eric Kubena-8 points / Cody Lehman-6 points / Braden Janecek-4 points.
In the championship game-EBJHS defeated Danbury 29-18. Scoring for the Brahmas were: JJ Talas-12 points / Cody Lehman-8 points / Braden Janecek-4 points / Eric Kubena-3 points / Cade Koeppen-2 points.  The 7th grade team played outstanding defense in both games and raised their season record to 11 - 0

8th Boys Basketball Results

We hosted a Jh Boys tournament this past weekend that included the Rice Raiders and Danbury Panthers.  The final results was EB Champions, Danbury 2nd and Rice 3rd.

Scoring was Blaine Sulak-2, Mark Bosse-0, Brent Babin-7, Ed Garza-8, Jared Rejsek-17, Lane Kolafa-1, Allen Anderson-11, Matthew Tovar-10, Blake Whitely-6, Austin Henry-0

8th grade Brahmas

7th grade Boys Basketball

The 7th grade Boys Basketball team traveled to Hempstead on Thursday.
The 7th"B" team lost 5-8. Scoring for the Brahmas were Mike Sims-4 points / Zachary Goelke-1 point.
This brings their season record to 4-1.
The 7th grade "A" team defeated Hempstead 39 - 22. Scoring for the Brahmas were: JJ Talas-19 points / Cody Lehman-8 points / Eric Kubena-6 points / Cade Koeppen-2 points / Trey Schmidt-2 points / Josh Mica - 2 points.
This raises their season record to 9 - 0
The 7th grade "A" team will play in their tournament Saturday - January 14th w/ the first game starting @ 9:00 am

JH 8th grade Boys results

We traveled to Hempstead to face the Bobcats and came away with two victories on the 8th grade side.  Both teams played really well and extremely hard. Could not be prouder of the effort that all the kids have.  We play this weekend in the East Bernard JH tournament starting at 9am, 10am then 1 and 2pm.  Thanks for all that you do.

JH 7th grade "A" team

The EBJHS 7th grade Boys "A" team traveled to Rice Consolidated and played in their tournament on Saturday. The Brahmas defeated Flatonia 37 - 12 and Rice Consolidated 37 - 16 to come away with the 1st place team trophy.
In the victory over Flatonia: scoring for the Brahmas were - JJ Talas-25 points / Cody Lehman-4 points / Eric Kubena-3 points / Cade Koeppen-3 points / Trey Schmidt-2 points.
In the victory over Rice Consolidated: scoring for the Brahmas were - JJ Talas-13 points / Cody Lehman-12 points / Cade Koeppen-6 points / Eric Kubena-4 points / Braden Janecek-2 points
This raises the 7th grade Boys "A" team record to 8 - 0.

8th Grade Boys vs. Brazos

Last night the Boys took on the Brazos Cougars at home.  They played really well, and the A groups will be traveling to Rice CISD on Saturday for a tournament starting at 9am with the 7th grade playing Flatonia.
