The girls came out and took command.   We have had to make some adjustments due to injuries and the girls are doing a great job of accepting the changes and playing hard to make it work.

On Tuesday the East Bernard Ladies traveled to Brazos to compete for yet another district game to finish the 1st round.  The ladies come out on top winning 25-15, 25-18, and a hard fought from both sides 29-27.
The girls knew that Brazos was going to be ready to play us and knew that winning one game out of the match would not be enough to make them stop.  After the 1st game, we talked about Brazos coming back harder in the 2nd and they did.  Brazos is not a team that is ever going to give up and it showed in the 3rd.  Every point from both sides was a fight.  This was a big win that brings the Brahmarettes to 6-0 in district.

Kill leaders Ashley Dusek adn Terralyn Williams with 12, Angelica Lopez 6, and Kori Slanina 4.  Kelsey Goodwin had 30 assists and 6 aces. More aces were served up by Amanda Boettcher 3, and Dusek and Lopez 2.
Dusek led in digs with 14 and Boettcher right behind her with 12.
Miranda Lehmann led solo blocks with 5, followed by Lopez with 4 and Dusek, Williams, and Slanina with 2.

The entire team rallied to play their assignment for every point.
We travel to LaGrange on Friday for a non-district game.
Varsity will play at 4:30 followed by the JV and Freshmen simultaneously at the conclusion of Varsity.
