Volleyball Results
The girls did a great job of stepping on the court from the beginning to work as a team to win this match.
Terralyn Williams led the team with 12 kills with Ashley Dusek right behind her with 11 and Kori Slanina adding 8. Dusek also had an ace, while setters Slaon Carr and Kelsey Goodwin each had 2 aces as well as 19 and 15 assists respectively. Defensively Dusek led with 27 kills, but this was the biggest area teamwork was demonstrated. Williams, Carr, Ashley Anderson, CourtneySmith, Goodwin Erica Reyes and Lauren Hlavinka had a combined 75 digs. Williams led defense on the net with 5 solo blocks, Smith had 3 and Dusek, Slanina, Carr and Anderson each had 2.
Missed serves in the 3rd game were a key factor in falling a little short, but the girls rallied even more in the 4th to get an early jump and never let up.
The girls will now face Marion at the Regional Tournament on Friday evening at 8 pm in San Antonio at the Blossom Athletic Center.
