Shawn Goff

CONGRATULATIONS  to Shawn Goff. He has been offered a track scholarship to Stephen F. Austin and has accepted. We will have a signing ceremony next Tuesday, April 5th, during activity period (1:20 p.m.), in the old HS gym. Come out and support Shawn and his family on his big day.  Shawn will be the (4th) East Bernard athlete to sign an athletic scholarship this year (2010-2011), and the (10th) athlete to sign in the last three years.

Golf Results

The East Bernard golf team traveled to Edna on Monday and Tuesday March 28-29. The boys team of (Garrett Losack, Nathan Tovar, Blake Stelzel, Nathan Korenek, and Josh Vincek) placed first with a score of (343). Garrett Losack was third place medalist with a score of (82).   On the girls side, Annie Bradley, Kara Morse, and Kenna Harris competed. Annie Bradley was 2nd medalist with a score of (92).  The East Bernard Invitational scheduled for April 5th, in Wharton, has been cancelled due to lack of participants. We will try again next year.  The East Bernard golf team's next contest will be the District 28-2A golf Tournament, to be held at Stephen F. Austin Golf Course, on Monday April 11th.

Miles Lee

Miles Lee was selected to play in the Texas High School Coaches Association North / South All-Star Football Game in July in Fort Worth.  This is a huge honor. Only a select few Texas High School football players get selected to this team.  Please congratulate Miles when you see him.

The 8th Grade boys placed 3rd in the East Bernard Junior High Track meet with a total of 116 points.  Congratulations to all who participated!

Team Tennis

Congratulations to the EB tennis team for qualifying for the Team Tennis State Tournament.
Several players juggled baseball, track and of course Prom to make this happen.  This was the best showing we have had in the last 4 years.  The kids are looking forward to competing in the State Tournament this weekend in Round Rock.  Give them a pat on the back if you see them.  This is a total team effort.
