Volleyball Season Ends

The Brahmarette Volleyball season has come to an end losing to Marion 25-21, 16-26, 25-27, 21-25 in the Regional Semifinals Friday night in San Antonio.  They didn't go out without a fight, but Friday just wan't their night.  The girls have a lot to be proud of.  We have been instilling in these girls for the last couple of years that hard work pays off, and they have finally had a chance to embrace the payoff.  Our seniors will be greatly missed, and will always be remembered as the group who paved a way for more good things to come.  After 15 years of not making it this far, the Brahmarettes left their final game with a burning to return, not a feeling of defeat.

Terralyn once again was the kill leader with 11 kills, Sloan Carr had 8 and Ashley Dusek, Ashley Anderson, and Kori Slanina each had 6.  Erica Reyes and Kelsey Goodwin each had 3 aces and Goodwinled assists with 20.  Dusek led the defense on the floor with 26 while Goodwin had 18, Anderson had 16 and Reyes had 14.  Williams and Dusek led in blocks with 4 a piece and Anderson and Courtney Smith had 3 a piece.

We want to thank everybody for the wonderful support you have shown this season and during the playoff run.  The girls truely fed off the tremendous noise and cheering that that followed us where ever we went.

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
