FREE Hands-on Technology Training

The EBISD technology department is offering FREE Hands-on Technology Training!
This week's  class schedule is listed below.  Please send an e-mail to darve.smith@ebisd.org if you would like to reserve a spot.


Tuesday, March 8th, 4pm - 5pm  "Digital Photography I"  With digital cameras so popular these days, there are a ton to choose from.  Learn what makes a digital camera different from a film camera.  What's a mega-pixel? Why are my pictures too dark or too light? Blurry? How much storage is enough?  Jpg? Tiff? RAW?  Learn how to take great pictures with your camera.

Tuesday, March 8th, 5pm - 6pm  "Digital Photography II"  If you have a digital camera, bring it with you along with the cables needed to connect it to the computer.  Use what you learned in Digital Photography I to take some sample pictures and view them on the big screen.

Wednesday, March 9th, 4pm - 5pm  "Google Documents"  Use Google Documents as an online alternative to Microsoft Office Titles such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  It's cloud computing and it's free!  Documents are stored online so they are available everywhere you have an internet connection.  Documents can be shared and even published online as a web page.

Wednesday, March 9th, 5pm - 6pm  "Google Forms"  Use an online from to collect data from internet users.  The data automatically shows up as a spreadsheet in your Google documents.  Forms are easy to create and share with others using a web page or via e-mail.

Thursday, March 10th, 4pm - 5pm  "Google Voice"  Google Voice is an innovative way to manage your phone traffic from one location.  Learn how to... Send text messages from a web interface.  Use one phone number to ring all of your phones at once.  Forward your phone calls.  Have different messages for different users.  Sync with your Android phone.  See your call history.  Transcribe your voicemails. Block unwanted callers, and more!

All classes are held in the East Bernard Junior High Computer Lab.  Please enter at the main Elementary School entrance.  We will make sure those doors remain unlocked.
