Boys' Basketball - Needville Tournament

Thursday December 2nd...

EB - 32   Hitchcock - 75
Scoring: Jessie Lopez 4, Aaron Francis 14, Ty Slanina 6, Justin McGuire 5, Eric Pribyl 1, Quinton Farris 2
We did a good job early playing great defense and controlling the glass for the first quarter and a half. The speed of the game caught up with the Brahmas and only having three days of practice showed as the press and tempo took its toll. Overall the Brahmas had a good showing not seen in the score.

EB - 58   Pope John Paul - 55
Scoring: Jessie Lopez 2, Aaron Francis 30, Victor Pettit 2, Ty Slanina 8, Justin McGuire 2, Ben Anderson 5, Quinton Farris 9
The second game was much better as we controlled the tempo early and had a 40 to 28 lead at halftime. The second half we began to tire and made some poor decisions that come in games early in the season. The game became much closer down the stretch but we were able to pull it out. In the end it is good experience being in close ball games to help in the future.
